DIG THIS GIG: FIND YOUR DREAM JOB—OR INVENT IT

Book ID/图书代码: 14780010B42744

English Summary/英文概要: Claim or create your ideal job—in any job market. When Laura Dodd started talking with her twentysomething peers about working, it didn’t take long for her to see that people are passionate about the jobs they do and the jobs they’d like to do. Distilling the insights of real people talking about real jobs, Dodd transforms the career horizon with Dig This Gig, a modern-day Working for millennials.

In honest, candid, over-a-beer style conversations about what work is really like, Dig This Gig fills the information vacuum facing recent college graduates as they face one of the most challenging job markets ever.

Meet an array of young people (from genetic counselors and adventure guides to food bloggers) as they recount their experiences in the workplace. And meet mentors (from Dan Rather and Christina Norman, CEO of The Oprah Winfrey Network, to civil rights hero, John Lewis) as never seen before, sharing 20/20 vision into the choices they made when they were in the same conundrum and the indispensible lessons they learned.
