About the Author/作者介绍： Thomas Emson 1966年出生于威尔士，在安格里尔长大。他做了20多年的记者，副主编，设计编辑，体育编辑，夜班编辑等，为地方性和国际性的杂志写稿子。
他的吸血鬼小说《Salem’s Lot 》激发他成为以个作家的野心。从此他开始创作有关吸血鬼、狼人和僵尸的作品。
他的首部作品出版于1966年，是关于一个说威尔士语的吸血鬼的故事。他著有三部小说，两个故事集和两部非科幻作品，均以威尔士语出版。他也是一个获奖的剧作家。他的第一部英语小说《食人魔》在2008年由Snowbooks 出版，自此他又出版了四部小说，第五部小说将于2012年夏日出版。 Thomas Emson was born in Bangor, Wales, in 1966, and raised on Anglesey, the island at the northern tip of Wales. He worked as a journalist for more than 20 years, writing for local, regional, and national papers as a reporter, sub-editor, design editor, sports editor, night editor, and deputy editor.
It was Stephen King’s vampire novel Salem’s Lot that fired his ambition to be a writer, and inspired him to develop his ideas for novels about vampires, werewolves and zombies.
His first novel, a Welsh-language vampire story, was published in 1996. He’s had three novels, two collections of stories, and two non-fiction books published in Welsh. He is also an award-winning playwright. He had his first English-language novel, MANEATER, published by Snowbooks in 2008, since when he has published four further novels, and has another five due for publication by Summer 2012.
