About the Author/作者介绍： Tania McCartney is an Australian author, editor and publisher who writes for both children and adults. She spent 4 years in Beijing where she worked for various expat magazines as both editor and features writer.
In 2008, Tania released Riley and the Sleeping Dragon – a unique multimedia tour around Beijing for young children, and Beijing Tai Tai was released in January 2009. Upon her return to Australia, both these books quickly sold out, and Sleeping Dragon featured in the Australian Bookseller Association’s Kids’ Reading Guide 2009/2010.
Tania has since published a series of Riley books and in 2010, she released her first lifestyle book – handmade living – to much acclaim. In 2011, her work will be published by three publishers including the National Library of Australia.
Tania is an established magazine writer, editor and blogger. She founded literary website Kids Book Review and is a senior editor for Australian Women Online. She is a regular speaker and presenter, and is a Children’s Book Council of Australia Visiting Author. She lives in Canberra with a husband, two kids and a mountain of books.
