可是沒幾天後，爸媽竟對我說：「那隻租來的狗，馬上就要還回去。」
什麼？不可能！這是我期盼已久的狗。我已經長大，我不會讓這件事發生的。可是我到底該怎麼辦？不如，我帶著狗狗一起逃得遠遠的吧！

About the Author/作者介绍： Eva Ibbotson (1925 – 2010) was born in Vienna in 1925 and moved to England with her father when the Nazis came into power. She wrote more than twenty books for children and young adults, some of which garnered nominations for the Smarties Book Prize and the Whitbread Prize.
Eva’s books are imaginative and humorous, occasionally focusing on the supernatural, and often conveying a love for nature.
Journey to the River Sea won the Gold Medal for the 2001 Smarties Prize, and was written in honour of her deceased husband, a former naturalist.
Her love of the Austrian countryside is evident in works such as The Star Of Kazan and A Song For Summer.
Eva passed away at her home in Newcastle on October 20th 2010.
