About the Author/作者介绍： 汤姆森职业生涯起初是在越南做战争摄影师，随着他的创作不断问世，经常应邀进行公众演讲，演讲主题以历史、文学和时事居多。他的作品除了《沉入无声的大海》和《阴影下的柏树》之外，还有很多原剧本和纪录片创作，还曾改编父亲的作品。

Thom began his career as a combat photographer in Vietnam. Along with his writing and producing obligations, he is in demand as a public speaker where he lectures on numerous subjects, particularly history and literature as they relate to current events. In addition to Down to a Soundless Sea and In the Shadow of the Cypress, he’s written numerous original screenplays and documentaries, as well as adaptations of his father’s work.
