English Summary/英文概要： Alfie is a young boy who lives with his street gang in the streets of Victorian London. When he is caught stealing a loaf of bread, he is brought to the police station. There he learns about the murder of the rich Mr. Montgomery. The police inspector Denhma makes Alfie and offer he can’t refuse. He promises to forget about the stealing of the bread if Alfie and his gang help find Mr. Montgomery’s murderer. It’s now up to Alfie and his gang to help the police find the murderer. They must sift through clues, shadow suspects, and find their way through a dangerous world of crime and double-dealing until they can find the killer.

Cora Harrison does a great job of telling an intriguing story full of danger and mystery while teaching the reader about the old streets of Victorian London.
