About the Author/作者介绍： As to Emma herself, she is a graduate of the University of Manchester’s Novel Writing MA and her short fiction has been published by Prospect Magazine, Comma and Redbeck Press. She has worked as a journalist since the age of 16 and currently writes a fortnightly column for the Big Issue in the North, as well as reviewing restaurants for various publications. She lives in Manchester with her partner, the musician Guy Garvey. This is her first novel.
