About the Author/作者介绍： Born in Frankfort, Illinois, Shane Gericke has been writing since his high school years, then as a $7.50 per week sportswriter and photographer for the Frankfort Herald.
Shane Gericke went to Northern Illinois University, where he first met his present wife Jerrie.
Mr. Gericke has been writing for over three decades as reporter and editor for various newspapers in Illinois. That also includes the Chicago ’Sun Times’ where he was deputy editor of the financial pages.
Shane Gericke has won a number of awards for his writing, and has also been cited by Who’s Who In America for both design and writing. Mr. Gericke chaired the Sun Timnes unit of the Chicago Newspaper Guild.
Shane Gericke left his newspaper career in 1994 to write full time for himself. He’s written for a number of magazines (primarily focused on firearms) using his ability to create non-fiction articles. Mr. Gericke’s first fictional murder novel (Blown Away)is located in the actual town of Naperville, and uses very familiar and real locations for anyone in Chicago or its environs.
Shane Gericke is a founding member of International Thriller Writers Inc. He’s also a member of Mystery Writers of America plus The Society of Midland Authors.
Mr. Gericke’s wife, Jerrie, works for Lucent Technologies - which supports them both between publication (lucky for a freelance writer!) and they currently live in a large suburb of Chicago.
