In DROWNED, Mallory is pitted against Tommy Denning, a crazy but highly intelligent evangelical Christian. Denning’s aim is to show some of the ambition of Islam’s soldier-terrorists, to make a dramatic stand against the increasing godlessness in this world, and to martyr himself – at the same time taking with him many hundreds of innocent passengers on a rush hour tube train. His takeover of the train is flawless, but that is only the beginning of his plans to bring maximum exposure to his message. . .
