SPICE: THE HISTORY OF A TEMPTATION

The story of an Egyptian merchant fleet, dated to around 1495 BC, which is believed to have been sent 1900 miles to the land of Punt, whence it returned with a cargo of cinnamon. Yet cinnamon never grew there, indicating that by 1500 BC there was a trade in cinnamon across the Indian Ocean.

Chinese Summary/
(CL)
