English Summary/英文概要： Lemon and her mom, Stella, have always been on the move, running away from Stella’s string of disasters—usually bad boyfriend situations. Stella and Lemon have pretty much mastered the art of packing up their life and starting fresh in a new place, and leaving the past in the past. But this time seventeen-year-old Lemon has taken an inescapable piece of their past with them: She’s pregnant.As new life grows inside of her, Lemon finds herself coming dangerously close to repeating her mother’s mistakes. Lemon feels compelled to set things right by filling the biggest empty space in her life, left by the father she has never met and knows nothing about. She sets out on a road trip to San Francisco, determined to find her father and fill in the gaps in her history, before she begins to create the tapestry of her future.
Earlier versions of the first three chapters of FINGERPRINTS OF YOU have been published in American Fiction Volume Eleven: Best Unpublished Short Stories by Emerging Writers and Sycamore Review.

Kristen-Paige Madonia’s debut novel will be published in 2012 by Simon & Schuster and recent short fiction can be found in Upstreet, New Orleans Review, American Fiction: Best Previously Unpublished Short Stories by Emerging Writers, Sycamore Review, Inkwell, and South Dakota Review. She was awarded a 2011 Sewanee Writers’Conference Tennessee Williams Scholarship and has received fellowships from the Juniper Summer Writing Institute, the Vermont Studio Center, Virginia Center for Creative Arts, Hedgebrook Writers’ Retreat, Millay Colony for the Arts, and the Studios of Key West.
She was the 2010 recipient of the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival award and was granted the Marianne Russo Fellowship to attend the 2008 Key West Literary Seminar and advanced fiction workshop. She holds an MFA from California State University, Long Beach where she taught creative writing and received the Best Thesis Award for the College of Liberal Arts for her collection of short stories, the James I. Murashige Jr. Memorial Scholarship, the Ronald Foote Scholarship for Short Fiction, and the 2005 Literary Women Festival of Authors Fellowship. She will begin teaching creative writing at the University of Virginia next year in Charlottesville, Virginia where she currently lives and is at work on her second novel
