Slowly, he reaches into his past to uncover the reasons for his aversions to the weird stuff that’s been haunting him: naked human flesh, his fear of donkeys and his mum’s obsession with Lucy’s dad...
Debut author Mark Lowery has created a delightful character in Michael with a distinctive and drily comic voice. The often taboo subject of nudity never feels smutty or vulgar, just impossibly embarrassing for Michael who is led into a series of unfortunate events. And, weirdly, coco pops play a part...

Mark Lowery grew up in Preston but now he lives in Cambridge. He has a real-life human girlfriend who definitely exists and a baby daughter. Most of the time he is a teacher and this is his first book.
