About the Author/作者介绍: Sir Harold Evans is a pioneer of investigative and unbiased journalism: in 2000 he was voted one of the top ‘Heroes of World Press Freedom’ by the International Press Institute. He was editor of The Sunday Times for fourteen years from 1967, and the editor of The Times from 1981-1982. After leaving The Times, he went on to various positions as editor-in-chief of The Atlantic Monthly, editorial director of US News, World Report and New York Daily News, and founding editor of Conde Nast Traveller, and is currently editor-at-large at Thomson Reuters.
