** FILM option: The novel has just optioned to a hot young director, Arash Ayrom (who also put together the book trailer), and will mostly likely be funded by two indie production companies that are investing in it as a serious independent film, using the Czech location and psychological drama as hook for international buyers. This is key—as horror translates to international markets really well because visuals tell the story. And psychological horror is attractive because it spawns word of mouth.
