English Summary/英文概要： One-hit wonders and literary recluses have always intrigued the reading public. And Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright Phelan Beamish whose created a sensation with his 1938 play, Bloodlines, but then never wrote another word, is one of the most fascinating, cloaked in the enigma of his cloistered life and premature death. Diane Lilly di Costanzo’s BEAMISH HOUSE, an engrossing literary mystery, reveals to us the lengths to which a family will go to protect its legacy. Walk the grounds of the once-grand Beamish estate, now a crumbling writers’ colony for second-rate Beamish scholars as Andrew Beamish, diminished in the shadow of his brilliant father’s memory, tries to financially survive in any way he can. His daughter, Shea, who moves into the estate with her hapless father and wary brother, starts investigating her reclusive grandfather’s life and death, and quickly finds out more than she wants to know. Healing only begins for the current generation of Beamishes once the secrets of the past have been uncovered.
