Andrew Simms is Policy Director of nef (the new economics foundation), an award winning UK think-and-do tank, and is on the board of Greenpeace UK. He is one of the UK’s leading campaigners and has written extensively on the issues of climate change and international poverty reduction. In a series of groundbreaking reports on ‘Ghost Town Britain’ and ‘Clone Town Britain’, Andrew also coined the new terms and changed the debate on the impact of mass retailing. He lives in London with his wife, daughter and bicycle. He is one of four legal owners of a small patch of land that lies in the path of the proposed new runway at Heathrow.
