At first glance, these images look like painted land-scapes, including towering hills, mad sea and stormy weather. But if you look a little more closely you’ll see that the sea and storm are made of cabbage. In an-other photo trees are broccoli, mountains are loaves of bread and rocks are potatoes. These aren’t paintings but actual photos! Everything you see in the photograph is made of food! The pictures were taken by Carl Warner, a photographer who works in London, and who makes a specialty of these ‘foodscapes‘. In recent years he has been commis-sioned by many advertising agencies throughout Europe to produce his distinctive images for clients in the food industry. Each scene is photographed in layers from fore-ground to background and is extremely time consuming.

About the Author/作者介绍： Carl Warner, a professional still life photographer with a studio in London, has worked in the adver-tising industry for more than 20 years.
Over the past ten years he has been developing a body of work making landscapes out of food, and has been commissioned by many advertising agencies throughout the world to produce these for clients in the food industry. In January of 2008 his work was featured in the Sunday Times, after which the flood gates opened to a host of media attention. He lives in Kent with his wife and four children.
