About the Author/作者介绍： 愛瑪•馬裏奧特曾是Michael O’Mara出版社旗下的自由撰稿人和編輯，發表的作品包括《我所知的歷史》和《錯誤的歷史：過去我們曾是如何犯錯》。

Emma Marriott was born in Uganda, grew up in Central London and has a degree in modern history from the University of Warwick. She has worked in book publishing for seventeen years, the last six of them as a freelance editor. She has edited a wide range of non-fiction books, including popular history titles, such as Stephen Fry’s Incomplete and Utter History of Classical Music, Spitfire Ace and What the Tudors & Stuarts Did For Us by Adam Hart-Davis. She also co-wrote Boys and Girls – A Ladybird Book of Childhood as well as a number of film tie-in and children’s activity books. For Michael O’ Mara Books, her previous works include I Used to Know That: History and Bad History: How We Got the Past Wrong. She has always retained a love of history and likes nothing more than to drag her husband and three children around a castle or place of historical interest. She currently lives in Ampthill, Bedfordshire.
