【關於米爾格倫實驗】
1961-1962 年間，美國耶魯大學的心理學家米爾格倫(Stanley Milgram)，做了一個驚人的「電擊實驗」。這個實驗的目的是要瞭解人們對於權威的服從。實驗參與者年齡從20歲到50歲不等，教育及成長背景各異。參與者都可以得到報酬。
他讓參與者扮演教師，並由研究者賦予他們權力來「電擊」那些無法正確回答測驗的學生。在這個實驗中，並沒有人真的被電擊，不過參與者會聽到自己發出的電擊的吱吱聲，以及受到電擊的學生反應（預錄好的慘叫及搥牆的聲音）。隨著電壓加強，學生會叫喊、怒罵逐漸到哀求、討饒、踢打，最後昏厥。研究者想要知道會不會有人在過程中停止實驗，以及，即使被研究者要求要繼續，他們會不會仍然堅持要中止。
即使許多參與者在過程中提出疑惑，但在參與者質疑時，研究者使用以下四個問句、按照順序要求參與者，若參與者在被問完四個問句後還是拒絕再繼續，這位參與者就可以離開實驗。這四個句子是：1.請繼續做下去；2.這個實驗要求你繼續；3.繼續下去是絕對必要的；4.你沒有其他選擇，你必須繼續。
最後有65%的參與者，在研究者要求之下，不斷地電擊學生直到使用到最強的電擊。
50年後的現在，結果是否會有所不同？美國、法國都重現了米爾格倫實驗，他們得到的結論是…

Gina Perry is an Australian psychologist, writer, and broadcaster. Her feature articles, columns, and short fiction have been published in many of Australia’s leading newspapers and literary magazines. Gina’s ABC Radio National documentary about the obedience experiments, ‘Beyond the Shock Machine’, won the Silver World Medal for a history documentary in the 2009 New York Festivals radio awards. She teaches in the Master of Publishing and Communications at the University of Melbourne.
