About the Author/作者介绍： Alastair Reynolds(阿拉斯泰爾•雷諾茲) 1966年生於南威爾士，就讀於Newcastle和 St Andrews大學並獲得天文學博士學位。1991年，他移居荷蘭，在歐洲宇航局擔任天體物理研究工作。他的前三部作品中 Revelation Space 獲 Arthur C. Clarke 和 英國科技小說獎的提名； Chasm City獲得了英國科技小說獎， 第三部為Redemprion Ark，也是榜上有名的暢銷書。

Alastair Reynolds was born in Barry, South Wales. He spent several years in Holland working for ESA before returning to Wales. He studied at Newcastle and St Andrews Universities and has a Ph.D. in astronomy.
