English Summary/英文概要： BODYGUARD will span six books, following Alpha Team – a group of highly-skilled, highly-trained teenagers, who have been drilled in the art of working as inconspicuous ‘buddyguards’ to young stars and the children of the rich and famous. Each recruit will learn to assess situations for danger, engage in combat where absolutely necessary, and ultimately put their own life on the line to protect their client.
Each of the books in the series will focus on a different mission, set in a different location – from Europe and China to Russia – and involves the same group of six young bodyguards. The members of Alpha Team – four boys, two girls – each come from a different international background, adding to the multinational feel of the series.

Chris is the author of the award-winning Young Samurai series. Young Samurai is an action-adventure martial arts trilogy for readers aged 10 plus. The first book in the series, The Way of the Warrior, was released to great acclaim in August 2008. Young Samurai 2: The Way of the Sword was released in July 2009. Young Samurai 3: The Way of the Dragon is being published by Puffin in March 2010.
He has also written several non-fiction books, including the critically acclaimed Heart & Soul (Sanctuary, 2005), Crash Course Songwriting (Omnibus, 2007) and the three-part illustrated series of music business books for teenagers, Record Deals OutLoud, Music Publishing OutLoud and Artist Management OutLoud (Music Sales, 2006).
