Jim Conaway is the author of several books, including Napa: The Story of an American Eden (Houghton Mifflin, 1990), the non-fiction bestseller about the wine country and those responsible for California’s winemaking triumphs, and its sequel, The Far Side of Eden (Houghton Mifflin, 2002). Conaway has written for multiple magazines, among them National Geographic Traveler, of which he is a contributing editor, and for Harper’s, The Atlantic, Smithsonian, and Gourmet.
