OTIS DOODA: STRANGE BUT TRUE

When Otis’s family moves to New York City, it’s a huge change from their small town—and not only because no one whizzes in the nearest park.

There’s a horse masquerading as a dog, a man selling Cheez Doodle dolls, zombies on the subway, and mechanical birds. When the eyes in a potted plant curse Otis, he thinks, at first, that he can’t possibly break all the bones in his body by the next full moon. Unfortunately curses from those eyes are pretty legitimate. Kids and adults alike offer sacrifices every time they enter the apartment building where the eyes live, and a neighbor tells Otis that the last time someone was cursed, the curse came true! Will Otis be able to turn around his luck in time?

OTIS DOODA, a cross between THE DIARY OF A WIMPY KID and CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS, is the first in a new, laughoutloud series by acclaimed children’s book author Ellen Potter.

Chinese Summary/

(XMM)
