All women, despite their socio-economic backgrounds, race or religion are assumed to identify with the trials and tribulations Carrie and her friends face in their search for the perfect man. But what if even their trials and tribulations do not resonate? What if, in addition to class, colour, race and beliefs, the very search for ‘Mr Right’ plays out in very different ways, in accordance with very different norms and values?
