English Summary/英文概要： Inspector Lojacono has allegedly accepted bribe money from the mafia and has been transferred from Sicily to Naples, where his new colleagues ignore him and his superiors make sure he is not given any important assignments. He is on duty, though, when the first murder of a teenager happens and he starts his own investigation. Suddenly Naples is rocked by other two murders of teenagers – of different ages and backgrounds, their bodies are found in three different districts of the city, each with a lone bullet wound. Only Lojacono is able to make a connection between the crimes – the key being a tear-stained handkerchief left by the killer at each scene. Indeed, the newspapers begin referring to the murderer as “The Crocodile”.

Chaotic, dazzling and damned Naples is the setting in which two solitary figures face off in a battle of determination and wits – the cop and the killer, mirror images. A suspenseful story and a well-plotted and intelligent thriller.

接連又兩位青少年遭到殺害，受害者不僅年齡背景不盡相同，甚至連棄屍的地點也相差甚遠，但現場卻都有一個共同點，就是都一條留有淚痕的手帕，而這手帕推測可能就是兇手故意留下的犯案證明。當地報紙及媒體開始給兇手一個可怕的封號「鱷魚」，藉以嘲諷他犯案後留下虛假的眼淚（鱷魚在吃獵物的時候，因為壓迫到淚腺，所以會流下眼淚）。
Lojacono是否能在孤立無援的狀態破解此案的真相，找到兇手的下落？而自己的污名能就此洗刷嗎？(Vincent)
