English Summary/英文概要： Fabulous at forty is the last thing Laura (Lu) Meredith feels. All she’s got to look forward to is working from home in Broadstairs, where she writes endless brochure copy, drinks too much with best friend Charlotte, and counts her wrinkles. As a sufferer from shocking PMT and the separated, single mother of 11 year old Stanley - ever since she threw the dinner at the wall - she is persuaded to go on a daytime TV show to share her hormonal experiences. One thing leads to another and she takes part in a cookery programme too, where she catches the eye of Cal, a gorgeous young film director who seems to have the hots for older women. Cal is making a documentary about women in their prime and wants Laura to take part.

About the Author/作者介绍： Jane Wenham-Jones is a journalist, columnist and speaker and the author of eight books and thousands of short stories, features and columns across numerous magazines and national newspapers and has appeared on more little-watched daytime television on long-defunct channels than she cares to remember. As an interviewer she has been "in conversation with" hundreds of top authors and celebrities, and is a founder a member of BroadstairsLit in the seaside town of Broadstairs, where she lives.
