Jake Brown (Nashville,TN), as a music biographer, has 33 published books to his resume over a decade-long career that includes his trademarked In the Studio book series, as well as authorized works with late hip-hop superstar Tupac Shakur, Heart, Joe Satriani, Motorhead, and the late Rick James, among others. In 2010 Brown was nominated by the Association for Recorded Sound Collections Awards in the specific category of Excellence in Historical Recorded Sound Research.
