About the Author/作者介绍： 西姆•雄•蔡（Sim Siong Chye），生于新加坡加东，毕业于新加坡国立大学，曾在一家日本船厂工作过一段时间。1993年成为新加坡驻外使者。他已完成在中国和缅甸的任期，目前正在澳大利亚任职。这是他的第一本旅行手记。

Sim Siong Chye was born and grew up in Katong, Singapore. Upon graduation from the National University of Singapore, he worked briefly at a Japanese shipyard before joining Singapore’s Foreign Service in 1993. He has completed two postings in China and Myanmar, and is currently serving in Australia. Once Bitten, Never Shy is the author’s first travelogue.
