About the Author/作者介绍：

Nicole spent a number of years working in Australia and abroad in the divergent fields of financial services and fashion before returning to agriculture and the family business in the 1990s. A full-time working partner and the business manager of the property, most days you’ll find her in the stockyards, mustering sheep or cattle, inspecting crops, or working in the station office. In 2010 The Bark Cutters was the highest selling novel for a debut author. In 2011 it was shortlisted for the Australian Book Industry Awards as Newcomer (Debut) Author of the year. In 2011 A Changing Land made the National Top Ten Best-seller list. Nicole has been passionate about writing for over twenty years and her novels reflect the sense of continuity and love for the land that is inherent in most farmers. Nicole is honoured to be ’The NSW 2012 Barwon Woman of the Year’ as part of the 2012 NSW Woman of the Year Awards.
