Lucy Beresford was born in West Sussex and read English Literature at Durham University. She is the author of the novel SOMETHING I’M NOT and has also had short stories published. She reviews fiction for Sunday Telegraph, New Statesman, The Spectator and Literary Review.

After ten years in investment banking in The City, Lucy retrained as a psychotherapist and now works in private practice in central London and at The Priory Hospital, Roehampton. She appears regularly on television and radio, and is the Agony Aunt for Psychologies. Her articles about well-being and psychology have also appeared in the Evening Standard, The Spectator, The Times, First Post, Sunday Telegraph’s Stella, The Independent, and The Straits Times in Asia. She also writes the occasional blog post for The School of Life.

Lucy’s first self-help title, HAPPY RELATIONSHIPS, will be published by McGraw-Hill in January 2013, and she is currently working on her second novel.
