About the Author/作者介绍： 唐肯（德利）迈克戴尔米德博士：心理动力治疗领域杰出心理医生，目前接受全职私人会诊，在NHS任职期间，曾于Maudesley, Bethlem, Middlesex, St Luke’s Highgate, 以及Guy’s 医院等兼职，他曾是Guy‘s的心理咨询专家，并于Guy’s，middlesex和priory医院任职，尽管迈克戴尔米德博士接受的是荣格精神分析法教育，但他却在治疗病人的过程中采用了电疗法，在完成其手稿后不久，他便辞世，其作品极有可能是其遗妻为其编纂修订。Dr Duncan (Derry) Macdiarmid was an eminent psychiatrist specialising in dynamic psychotherapy in full time private practice. Throughout his career within the NHS he held posts at Maudesley, Bethlem, Middlesex, St Luke’s Highgate, and Guy’s Hospitals. He was Consultant Psychotherapist at Guy’s, and also taught at Guy’s, Middlesex and the Priory Hospitals. Although Dr Macdiarmid trained as a Jungian analyst, he used an eclectic approach in his work in treating his patients. He passed away soon after the completing the manuscript, which was then edited capably by his widow.
His widow Sue Macdiarmid has written some journalism and, with her own professional background as a trained psychiatric social worker, is knowledgeable about the material in the manuscript. She has proved highly capable in tidying the manuscript, cutting it considerably at my request, and remains committed to helping in all aspects of launching the book.
