Elmira Bayrasli is the ideal author for this book. In addition to her strong writing, her impressive 20-year career in global development provides her an ideal platform as expert. Among other experiences, she has worked with Michael Mandelbaum on East-West relations, with Madeleine K. Albright’s team at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, and with Richard Holbrooke’s special negotiator’s office to break the Cyprus stalemate. In 2002, Bayrasli moved to Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina to work for the Organization for Security and Co-operation’s Mission, where she served as Chief Spokesperson and Director of Press and Public Information.
