Awards/获奖情况：I bought this for my 6 year old daughter who loves all things with the title variation of The Book of Why. This one was not a disappointment. It’s a nice square size and perfect weight for her to curl up with in bed. I would say it’s probably aimed at roughly 4-7 year olds as it is a bit basic, but that doesn’t detract from the info it offers.For instance, one page has the question, "Why Do Bridges Sway?" The answer is pretty simple and not technical at all. It states: "Bridges can bend and sway as much as 2 or 3 metres. If bridges were completely rigid, a very strong wind might crack them." The only other bit of info on the page is a "Did You Know" factoid about army ants. So as you can see, the book does not go into long and detailed descriptions about the history, physics or engineering of bridges. It just gets to the point and gives the answer a young child would want to hear and be able to understand.
