Dr. Charles Smith has taught young children at three universities and was the director of a university child development center. He has taught early childhood education at Bowling Green State University and Texas Tech University. Currently, he is Professor of Human Development and Family Studies and state human development specialist in extension at Kansas State University in Manhattan. He is the author of Promoting the Social Development of Young Children, From Wonder to Wisdom, and I’m Positive: Growing Up with Self-Esteem.
Much in demand as a speaker on the issues of self-esteem and social development, Dr. Smith conducts workshops throughout the US. He served as President of the Kansas Governor’s Commission on Education for Parenthood.
