About the Author/作者介绍： John Hicks是中国医药综合学院校长及创办人之一。他从事执业针灸师，中国中医已经35年了。 1974年，John毕业于利明顿温泉的英国传统针灸学院，1986年在南京进行研究生的临床培训，1987年和Ted Kaptchuk一起做草药实验。他是好几本关于针灸疗法和中草药的著作作者，此外，他还是中国医药综合学院中中草药课程中草药和配方的教学教授。他住在英国雷丁。 John Hicks is joint principal and co-founder of the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. He has been a practising acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist for 35 years. John graduated from the College of Traditional Acupuncture, Leamington Spa, in 1974, then underwent postgraduate clinical training in Nanjing in 1986 and trained in herbs with Ted Kaptchuk in 1987. He is author of several books on acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and teaches herbs and formulae on the Chinese herbal medicine courses at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. He lives in Reading, UK.
