Roseanne Thong is the author of over a dozen children’s picture books, including the upcoming Green is a Chili Pepper (Chronicle 2014), Noodle Magic (Scholastic 2014) and ’Twas Noche Beuna (Viking 2014). She has also published eight educational textbooks, teacher’s guides, and thirteen works of adult short fiction.

Among many others, her picture book awards include The Society of School Librarians International’s 2010 Honor Book (Fly Free), California Readers Collection 2010 (Wish), Chicago Public Library’s Best of the Best 2008 (Wish), Smithsonian Magazine’s Best of 2008 (Wish), Skipping Stones Honor Award for Multicultural Education 2005 (The Wishing Tree).
