About the Author/作者介绍： 威廉·S. 维克里（William Vickrey，1914 - 1996）
1996年诺贝尔经济学奖获得者，激励经济理论奠基者，在信息经济学、激励理论、博弈论等方面都做出了重大贡献。
维克里教授获得诺贝尔奖，主要因为他的两项研究奠定了资讯经济学的基础。 一项是他在20世纪40年代中期对所得税的研究，另一项则是他在20世纪60年代初期对投标与喊价的研究。
