About the Author/作者介绍： Robert Glancy出生于赞比亚，在马拉维长大。14岁时，他从非洲移居到了爱丁堡。那时，他真真切切感受到了文化冲击的影响。一些孩子的冷嘲热讽使他改正了自己的非洲口音，褪去了黝黑的肤色，并装得一副开朗快乐的样子。他后去剑桥攻读历史。后又去了伦敦，他此时还不知道自己真正想做的事是什么，机缘巧合就先做起了公关，晚上写作。他现在与妻子和孩子住在新西兰。

Robert Glancy was born in Zambia and raised in Malawi. At 14 he moved from the warm heart of Africa to Edinburgh where he discovered the true meaning of the term ‘culture shock’. He quickly ditched his African accent, lost his tan, and disguised his sunny disposition in a thin layer of teenage cynicism. After Edinburgh he studied history at Cambridge. Then off to London where a career in public relations found him (before he had time to figure out what he really wanted to do). By day he still works in PR, by night he writes. He currently lives in NZ with his wife and children.
