In the corner of Forster’s mind a germ of a story is developing but it will take another twelve years and second visit to India for his great work of literature, A Passage to India, to be born.

About the Author/作者介绍： 达蒙于1963年出生于比勒陀利亚。他曾凭借作品《良医》与《在奇怪的房屋里》两度入围布克奖。此外《良医》还曾入围英联邦作家奖，同样入围的作品还包括《江湖骗子》和IMPAC。希望属于他的时代终将到来，并衷心期盼《极地之夏》能帮助他实现心愿---为他祈祷！As you know Damon was born in Pretoria in 1963. He has been twice shortlisted for the Booker for The Good Doctor and In A Strange Room. The Good Doctor was also shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, as was The Imposter, and the IMPAC. We’re hoping this is his time and that he will have prize-winning success with Arctic Summer – fingers crossed!
