This is the story of Candy Stripe Lil

and Harry the Hog who lived over the hill.

...and a foggy March day, roundabout three,

when Lil had invited Harry for tea.

Lil is expecting Harry the Hog for tea, but there’s a swirling fog outside and Harry is nowhere to be seen.

Lil sets off to find her friend. Luckily she meets Deer, Sheep and Crow along the way, who all join in the hunt to find the hog in the fog.

About the Author/作者介绍： 茱莉亚•考普斯生于伦敦新维克剧院附近，目前她居住在萨摩赛特。她曾获得全国诗歌竞赛首奖以及前进奖的最佳诗歌单作奖（2010）。此外她还未广播节目撰稿，其第一部剧作Eenie Meenie Macka Racka曾荣获BBC阿尔弗雷德•布拉德利奖。她是皇家文学基金会讲师之一，并于2008年成为了艾克赛特大学的一名荣誉教员。《哈利与里尔》是她的第一部插图书籍。

Julia Copus was born in London, near to the Young Vic theatre, and now lives in Somerset. She has won First Prize in the National Poetry Competition and the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem (2010). She also writes for radio; her first play, Eenie Meenie Macka Racka, was awarded the BBC’s Alfred Bradley prize. She is a Lector for the Royal Literary Fund, and in 2008 was made an Honorary Fellow at the University of Exeter. Harry & Lil is her debut picture book.
