Becoming embroiled in a mystery is hardly in Pru’s plans; she’s desperate to stay in England and secure a job as a gardener on an estate, but such a position is proving elusive. Various temporary gigs keep her hands in the earth but curious Pru also finds herself digging for clues, which proves treacherous. Lucky for her, Detective Christopher Pearse has his eye on her. Yet another troubling question nags intrepid Pru: does the laconic policeman want to kiss her or arrest her?
A regular contributor to Country Gardens as well as other gardening magazine, this is the first novel from Marty (Martha) Wingate. Since 2002, Marty had been leading groups around gardens throughout England, Scotland, Ireland, France, and to North American destinations. With both international and domestic relationships formed - not just with those going on the tours, but also with the local contacts - a readership already eagerly awaits the publication of the Potting Shed mysteries.
