Rory Clements had a successful career in national newspapers, including stints as Associate Editor at Today and Good Health editor at the Daily Mail. He now writes full-time in Norfolk, concentrating on his acclaimed series of historical thrillers set in the late 16th century. His first book, Martyr, was shortlisted for the CWA John Creasey (New Blood) Dagger, and his second book, Revenger, won the prestigious CWA Ellis Peters Historical Award 2010. The third in the series, Prince, was shortlisted for the Ellis Peters Award 2011. No.4 in the series, Traitor, and no.5, The Heretics, were published in early 2013. He has also published an ebook novella, The Man In The Snow. He is available for literary events and is always happy to expound his theories on what life was really like in the Elizabethan period (not quite the golden age that some historians would have us believe). He is a member of the Crime Writers’ Association, the Historical Writers’ Association, and International Thriller Writers. His books have been sold to 12 countries and are currently in development for a TV series.
