Marcie Jan Bronstein (M.J.) has been a working artist for more than twenty five years. Known for her unique, hand-colored images and her work with the photographic negative, her art is exhibited, published, commissioned, and collected around the world. She is the author of three published books, the creator of a number of large-scale public works, and a teacher, with a special interest in working collaboratively with children. In the spring of 2011, M. J. created the Fotoplay! book, the-first-of-its-kind photo-based prompt book, which was then published in March of 2012. The new PhotoPlay book will be published in 2014 by Chronicle Books.
