English Summary/英文概要： Twilight Grove retirement home turns into a kind of hell when it is taken over by foreign construction workers cursing fluently in Finnish. The noise is deafening, a hole appears in the wall, things disappear and residents have to use a portable toilet.
Residents Siiri, Irma and Anna-Liisa, all more than 90 years old, decide to move into a shared apartment in the exotic neighbourhood of Hakaniemi. All three have their own habits and quirks, and life together isn’t entirely free of friction. The women also learn about the sad differences in quality with at-home assistance, and are forced to become familiar with terminal care and questions surrounding euthanasia.
Our heroes also can’t help looking into the suspicious plumbing project at Twilight Grove. As the mystery unfolds, they begin to find out that few people in this world have a fully clean record.
Escape from Twilight Grove is an independent sequel to the smash hit Death in Twilight Grove (2013).

About the Author/作者介绍： 米娜•林德格伦（Minna Lindgren）生于1963年，自由记者、专栏作家。写作风格怪诞、写作主题多样，从戏剧到死亡等等毫不避讳。除了写小说之外，米娜还出版了关于古典音乐的非虚构类作品。2009年因文章“父亲的死”获得了波尼亚新闻奖。Minna Lindgren (b. 1963) is a freelance journalist and columnist known for her whimsical writing style and fearless approach to topics as strange as opera and death. In 2009 she won the Bonnier Journalism Prize for her article entitled “Father’s Death” (“Isän kuolema”). Now Lindgren takes a sharp and satirical look at life inside a retirement home in mystery novel that she plans to expand into a trilogy. The first part of her Twilight Grove trilogy, Death in Twilight Grove, has been a critical and commercial success. A second entry with a working title of Refugees of Twilight Grove (Ehtoolehdon pakolaiset) will be published in May of 2014. Well-known British-born Finnish director Neil Hardwick is currently working on a film adaptation of the first book.
