About the Author/作者介绍： 雷纳夫•费恩斯荣膺大英帝国勋章。身为英国最低调的探险家，他为慈善募捐了1400万镑，在2007年独立电视台伟大英国人奖称他为最佳冒险家。2009年他为了登上珠峰最年长的英国人。
Ranulph Fiennes was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE). One of Britain’s most infamous explorers, he has raised over 14million for charity and was named Best Sportsman in the 2007 ITV Great Briton Awards. In 2009 he became the oldest Briton to reach the summit of Everest.
