English Summary/英文概要： All expats are running away from something. Working in Dubai, Evie had heard that saying many times before. In her case it was from her brother’s death. Following the death of her ten year old brother Graham in a biking accident when Evie was a child, her mother had gone off the rails and had tried to kill herself. When her mother rings her to let her know that her father has died suddenly of a heart-attack, Evie can only imagine what state she’ll be in now but when she does arrive, she finds her mother a whirlwind of activity. Appointments have been made at the undertakers, the church has been booked, the caterers planned and she is in the process of selling the family home so she can have a new start.
But all is not as it seems. As Evie begins to explore her late father’s email accounts, she discovers a message from someone that will shock her to her foundation and set her on a journey that will begin to unravel everything she has ever believed about her parents and held dear.

COMING HOME is a taut, dark, psychological thriller. Annabel Kantaria works as a journalist from Dubai where she writes for a number of British newspapers. Last year the first three chapters of COMING HOME won her the ’most promising first novel competition’ at the Dubai Emirates Literary Festival.
