English Summary/英文概要： From punk to World Youth Day. The story of Francesco Lorenzi and his band, which give words of hope to music.
Summer 2007. The Sun Eats Hours’ world tour finished successfully, the band celebrated its ten years of activity with more than one hundred concerts. And yet Francesco, the leader, feels that life is no longer his own and that the excesses are tearing the group apart.
One day, his mother shows him an invitation from the parish to a night of reading from the Gospel.
Francesco is skeptic, but welcomes the proposal,
ending up experiencing the beginning of new friendships and a rebirth, even of the new group, The Sun.
The band, still hot from its public acclaim, has already performed for Pope Francis and at the Assembly on youth cultures, invited by Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi.
The Sun often get attention from Catholic media too, from the daily Avvenire to TV2000, and have already appeared on RaiUno in Catholic talk show A Sua immagine.

FRANCESCO LORENZI (1982) is the leader of The Sun, formerly known as The Sun Eats Hours, Italian punk-rock band which would support world-famous groups such as The Offspring, Pennywise, AFI and NOFX in the early 2000s. The band has performed more than once throughout Europe, with several gigs and affectionate recognition in Spain and Japan. In 2008 the members of the band met Christianity and changed their name into The Sun. In 2010 they signed with Sony Music Entertainment and released Spiriti del sole (Spirits of the Sun), their first album in Italian, followed by Luce (Light) in 2012. The Sun’s present tour has more than 100 dates to its name, plus more than 100,000 participants across Italy, Portugal, Brazil and the Holy Land. An album in Spanish is currently in the works.
