English Summary/英文概要： BLACK FLAG is a standalone thriller of dystopian adventure for 11-14 year olds with an educational underpinning, which Cambridge University Press will publish this September. The idea for the novel has grown out of their educational series on coding, which is geared towards teaching children how to create coding for computer programs, games, and ultimately applications.

New Edgehill is overseen by the omnipresent Marshall Trent and his team of android Enforcers. It’s citizens are implanted with Neurochips that keep them wired directly to Trent’s NeuralNetwork. Their movements, thoughts, emotions are all monitored, and as Cal Jones begins to learn, controlled. A split second decision to help a young girl on the run from the Enforcers takes Cal on a dangerous adventure into the underground world of the anarchists, opposed to Trent, and fighting to restore freedom to the citizens of New Edgehill. Together, Sasha and Cal must infiltrate Trent’s NeuralNetwork to awaken the citizens of New Edgehill, and the only person who can help them is the one person Cal has never known: his mother.
