Bard Williams was raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA. He taught Middle School science, English and math and helped pioneer the introduction of technology into one of the nation’s largest school districts. He went on to become the district’s first local school technology coordinator, then on to the district office where he managed technology implementation and training districtwide. From there, he joined Apple’s education division where he worked to educate teachers, persuade district leadership, and influence national technology policy. He currently serves as Director of Marketing at technology pioneer TiVo and lives in Silicon Valley, California.
His IDG (Dummies) books have won numerous publication awards and he’s the author of more than a dozen titles and more than 300 articles.
He stays well connected in education by speaking at conferences, consulting with districts and teaching whenever he can.
