Chinese Summary/中文概要： 如尼字母即是卢恩文字这一类已灭绝的古文字的基本字母，在中世纪的欧洲用来书写某些北欧日耳曼语族的语言，特别在斯堪的纳维亚半岛与不列颠岛屿通用，拥有浓重的宗教风味。 卢恩文字（RUNE）：斯堪的纳维亚半岛所用的卢恩文字被称作Futhark，不列颠岛所用的卢恩文字被称作Futhorc。至今发现最早的卢恩刻文定期为公元150年左右，随着基督教传入北欧，卢恩字母逐渐被拉丁字母取代。公元700左右，卢恩字母在在中欧消失；公元1400年左右也在斯堪的纳维亚半岛消失，但在斯堪的纳维亚，卢恩字母还常常被用在装饰图案上。

About the Author/作者介绍： Donald Tyson is a Canadian from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Early in life he was drawn to science by an intense fascination with astronomy, building a telescope by hand when he was eight. He began university seeking a science degree, but became disillusioned with the aridity and futility of a mechanistic view of the universe and shifted his major to English. After graduating with honors he has pursued a writing career. Now he devotes his life to the attainment of a complete gnosis of the art of magic in theory and practice. His purpose is to formulate an accessible system of personal training composed of East and West, past and present, that will help the individual discover the reason for one’s existence and a way to fulfill it.
